INTRO
The Innokin Kroma 217 Z Force is a brand-new kit that is suitable for both novice and seasoned vapers. With a maximum output of 100W, the Innokin Kroma 217 box mod is powered by a single 18650/20700/21700 battery. It uses the Coil+ and Refresh modes to ensure long-term use and increase its lifespan while maintaining excellent flavour. With the Innokin Z Force Tank’s 2ml capacity, slide-top filling, and leak-proof construction, you can now change the coil while the tank is still filled with e-juice!
Two new DuoPrime ZF Coils are included with the Innokin Z Force Tank; the second layer of mesh is implanted in the wick and heats up gradually. This significantly boosts wicking activity, which leads to superior flavour, denser vapour, and increased coil durability. The 0.2ohm (50-80W) and 0.3ohm (30-45W) DuoPrime Innokin ZF coils are perfect for DL and RDL vaping, respectively, and are available at launch.

BUILD QUALITY
Only the finest components available to the vaping industry were used in the construction of the Kroma 217. The chassis is made of high-grade zinc alloy, and it has a body finish that is a combination of brushed and chrome. This offers the device an extraordinarily long lifespan. A variety of high-quality materials, including genuine carbon fibre, glass fibre, and leather, were used to create the hand grip. These components work together to create a vaping gadget that is stylish, sophisticated, and useful.
BATTERY
With the package, a Type-C USB charging cord is included. Simply plug the cable’s other end into an appropriate USB power supply and the Type-C connection on the bottom front of the Kroma 217 mod. The Kroma 217’s designated charging circuit is rated at 5V/1.7A. The little battery icon on the main screen display of the Kroma 217 mod will cycle from red to yellow to green to indicate that it is charging when it is first turned on. The larger battery screen display, which features a graphical power lead, the USB sign, and the battery indicator with a cycling colour scale, will be displayed after the screen timeout period.
Red: Battery charge at <10% Yellow: Battery charge between 10%-60% Green: Battery charge >60%
The battery icon is always present during the charging process and turns static green when it has received 90% of its charge. The battery display won’t go out until it’s fully charged, at which point it will stop charging altogether. You may access the status menu by simultaneously pressing the fire bar and the + button. There, you can view the battery’s numerical charge value, which should read 4.2V when completely charged. You can charge and vape simultaneously thanks to a pass-through capability that is provided.
PERFORMANCE
A Samsung 30T battery was used for testing this hack. There is only one maximum output listed, which is 100 watts (80 with a 18650 battery). They don’t list volts or amps on their website, and I do wish they did. The most wattage I was able to achieve throughout my tests was 103, making the 100-watt rating outstanding. With a 0.09-ohm coil, the amp limit I obtained was 32 amps, which is typical for single-battery mods. Most are in their 30s. I reached the wattage limit with a 0.6-ohm coil, thus the volt limit I got was 7.784+. The volt restriction won’t ever be an issue since, as they say, there is a boost circuit.
Z FORCE TANK RUNDOWN
The kit’s tank is the sub-ohm Z Force tank, which uses the brand-new DuoPrime ZF coils. It is a bottom-airflow tank, which provides a better taste than top airflow. It comes with an extra bubble glass and uses a bubble glass with a 5 mL capacity. It employs a slide-back top for refilling, which works great. A tried-and-true approach, nothing novel. Plug-and-play coils are used, and the resin 810 drip tip is a common yet perfectly complementary drip tip.
You need to unscrew the base from the tank and pop the coil out to replace it. But this tank excels in two areas where other tanks have fallen short. First off, the coil may be removed by hand without the use of tools and is simple to handle. Second, the tank’s amazing system seals the juice in when the coil is taken out. I believe I originally saw that on the Aspire Tigon tank, however, I’m not sure why more tanks haven’t followed suit. It works excellently and enables coil replacement while the tank is still filled without juice loss or leaks. I adore that function.
PROS
- The ergonomic, comfortable design makes finger firing a doddle
- Bright, clear screen with wattage or voltage prominently displayed
- Easy-to-navigate menu screens
- Great flavour from both ZF mesh coils
- No leaking from the airflow ports
CONS
-
- Filling with short-fill bottles can be difficult
- Low profile drip tip may be uncomfortable for some (subjective)
- Coils tend to lack warmth (subjective)

SUMMARY
The Z-Force tank is the ideal mate for the Kroma 217 mod, which has a lot going for it. The grip shooting technique felt natural, and the size and form make it comfortable to use. The mod isn’t particularly innovative, but it has been updated to reflect Innokin’s most recent developments (such as the fire bar, screen and UI). The Z Force tank is nearly flawless, and with the new coil technology, I can see why both novice and seasoned users will like using it. This kit is a good advance to the previous Kroma’s and really showcases Innokin’s quality and elegant design. It is ideal for DL and RDL users and performs admirably with the supplied coils, but DIY users searching for TC modes won’t find them here.
