Last but not least, the Pro-Focus design of this kit, which guarantees outstanding flavour, has to be its best feature.

PODS

The Uwell PA coils are used with the Crown D Pod Mod Kit. A FeCrAl Mesh 0.3 DTL coil rated for 25W–35W and a FeCrAl Mesh 0.8 for RDTL/MTL coil rated for 15W–18W are the two coil alternatives that are offered. The package comes with both. The Uwell PA coils are well-made, and it’s wonderful to note that the coils’ bases have basic coil information printed on them. There is a flat edge on the coil that must line up with the flat edge on the bottom of the pod even though the coil installation is press fit.

There is 3ml of e-liquid in the tank. It is transparent and has a snap-fit mouthpiece that enables you to refill it with e-liquid without removing the pod from your device. Simply remove the mouthpiece to access the red fill port, then fill it with your preferred e-liquid. The fill port can accommodate any e-juice bottle, ranging in size from 30 to 120 ml. The side airflow control slider is a fantastic feature that operates very simply. You can choose to vape MTL, DTL, or RDTL by simply sliding it up or down without removing the pod from the device. It is clear that Uwell put a lot of effort into this design. It’s among the greatest pods I’ve ever used in a pod/mod kit, and I’ve tried a lot of them.

 

BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING

The Crown D Pod Mod Kit comes in a tiny, lightweight package with a sizable 1100mAh internal battery. On a full charge, it comfortably lasted me several days (3/4); however, greater usage times may be possible depending on your coil, wattage, and usage patterns. Before I realised the battery bar was running low and needed to be recharged, I was able to refill the pod three or four times. As the battery life was dwindling, I didn’t also observe any appreciable changes in the potency or quality of the smoke.

From empty to full, the charge takes about an hour. Additionally, it has pass-through charging, allowing you to smoke while connected. The Crown D must be placed on its side to charge because the USB-C port is located on the bottom of the gadget.

 

PERFORMANCE

The Crown D Pod system can easily fire from 5-35W and produce a lot of vapour all day long thanks to an integrated 1100mAh battery. Additionally, the various firing modes can greatly enhance the intricacy of your vaping experience by allowing reticent liquids to reveal more of their richness.

With the snap-fit mouthpiece on the Crown D pods, you can add more juice without removing the pod from your device. Simply remove the mouthpiece to access a port where you may add your preferred e-liquid. We advise using your kit with an e-liquid that has at least 70% VG in order to get the most out of it. The pod has a tiny window for e-liquid so you can see how much is left and prevent getting a dry hit.

You’ll get a tighter draw and a considerable amount of vapour if you select the 0.8 Ohm RDTL coil. However, the greatest vapour and the thickest clouds are produced by the 0.3 Ohm DTL variant. Additionally, the kit’s bottom has a wheel that makes it simple to adjust the wattage for the ideal vape.

CONCLUSION

I had anticipated the Crown D would give me the same degree of RDL vaping as the Sculptor, which Uwell had already given me as my ideal tiny pod MTL vape, and it did! Not only that, but it also provided me with a great MTL vape in the process. I’d say the vape quality is really higher than the Sculptor because it allows for much more customization with the adjustable wattage and airflow control.

The POW mode by default is ideal for novice vapers, and the numerous additional settings should satisfy the majority of seasoned vapers. As I used the Crown D more, I found that I didn’t need any of these additional features; POW with the predetermined boundaries was sufficient for both modes (MTL and RDL). It’s a shame about the small flaws (fire locking, rudimentary charging screen), as Uwell seems to have put a lot of effort into the Crown D Pod Mod.
