Vape Review of Smok IGEE A1

INTRO

With the Smok IGEE A1 Pod System Kit, thrills are unveiled in three ways: the top fill design, which provides a leak-resistant experience, the 650mAh built-in battery, and the attractive aluminium-alloy body. maximum output of 14W. Its main advantages are simplicity and convenience; it is a draw-activated device with two airflow choices for MTL vaping. The front of the device has an LED indicator for tracking battery life. With a top filling method and nic salt e-juice, the integrated 0.9-ohm mesh coil in the 2 ml IGEE A1 pod functions surprisingly well. The body of the IGEE A1 pod system is made of aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, making it strong and lightweight.

BUILD QUALITY

I got both the Blue Purple and Blue Grey variants of this. It is very similar to the Novo 2X that I previously reviewed, but on a slimmer, taller scale. The Igee also lacks an airflow adjustment. Similar to the Novo 2X, the instruction manual is comprehensive despite its small print size. 13 pages in a single language. Sadly, folks with vision problems cannot obtain a manual from the Smok website. Great care was taken in the shipping, and both kits arrived in excellent shape. After peeling off the QR code sticker, some residue was left on the mod, which I gently scraped off with my fingertip because I really didn’t want to scratch it. I adore the style; it has a metallic finish and gorgeous colour gradation. This gadget is extremely thin, rounded, and comfortable to hold.

It can almost stand vertically, but it can easily topple over with a little prodding. The USB Type C connector is located on the base, and because it is curved, the unsightly legal text and branding are moved to the mod’s back. Igee A1’s logo is shown above this text. The device’s four circular LEDs are located on the front and are fairly bright, but difficult to photograph. The Smok logo is located at the bottom of the front. Apart from tiny pinhole-sized airflow inlets, the sides are unadorned. There are two magnets and two spring-loaded contacts inside the ultra-deep pod port. I believe that because the container is so deep, it will be difficult to remove any dampness or leaks. The pod is quite simple to remove, but it doesn’t jiggle or fly out when I dropped the kit on the carpet.

PERFORMANCE

Apart from tiny pinhole-sized airflow inlets, the sides are unadorned. There are two magnets and two spring-loaded contacts inside the ultra-deep pod port. I believe that because the container is so deep, it will be difficult to remove any dampness or leaks. The pod is quite simple to remove, but it doesn’t jiggle or fly out when I dropped the kit on the carpet.

These pods have a decent flavour, in my opinion. They weren’t epic nuances of my favourite e-liquid that completely blew me away, but they were still extremely good. I was able to taste my e-liquid, which was better than some pod kits I had previously tried. The pod’s performance received an 8 out of 10, which is above average. Both a strong throat impact and considerable warmth are present. I believe that an additional Watt or two would really ignite this meshed coil. It has a bit underpowered feeling. I’m on my eighth refill, and while the flavour still tastes the same, I’ve noticed some slight e-liquid discolouration, suggesting that a pod change may be in order soon.

There is no adjusting range because the airflow on the Igee is fixed. It’s obviously an MTL vape, but I’ve had MTL draws that were far tighter. I would grade this somewhere between 3-3.5 on a scale of 0 being completely closed off and 10 being able to breathe fresh air. Not too loose to qualify as an RDL, but also not too tight to qualify as an eye-bulging MTL. The Igee may leave you a little underwhelmed if you prefer extremely restricted airflow, but it is still classified as MTL.

BATTERY LIFE

It is said that the charging rate is 0.7A. Connect the little end of the USB type C cable that is included in the mod’s USB port. Connect the large end of the cord to an appropriate USB outlet to start charging your Smoke Igee A1. When fully charged, the LED will cycle through its colours before turning off entirely. For me, the charging process took between 40 and 45 minutes using a 2A plug. Actually, this should happen more quickly, but Smok’s poor charging rate is the problem.

The auto-draw fire moves really quickly and without a hiccup. I had no problems at all with this item; it charged easily, and the LEDs functioned as they should. I’d want to make a small complaint about the device’s 0.7A charging rate, which is rather low for a USB Type C item. Your personal choices for vaping will always affect your battery life. I vape frequently throughout the day, so each battery charge lasted me between three and four hours. Keep in mind that if you only use this during your 10-minute breaks, you should be able to complete your workday.

PROS

  • Stunning metallic fading finish
  • dazzling LED indication
  • Effortless in the hand
  • rapid automatic fire
  • Despite the small text size, the instructions are really thorough.
  • The mouthpiece is simple to remove for filling, yet it is firmly fastened into the mod.
  • exceptional vape

CONS

  • The mod had a sticker with a QR code and a warranty; removing it left some residue.
  • airflow is not altered
  • For people who have vision problems, there is no online user manual
  • In the age of type C 2A fast charging, a charge rate of 0.7A is excessively slow. Despite the little battery, 45 minutes is still a long time to wait.

VERDICT

The Smok IGEE A1 performs all the necessary functions for a straightforward, entry-level pod kit. Additionally, it is quite slim for an “up-the-sleeve” stealth vape. Although it is quite pricey for what it is, there are good-quality kits with comparable specifications that are really less priced. But I can’t complain about how it works. It would benefit from some sort of airflow control as it is a somewhat more open MTL than some vapers would want, and the battery charging is slow.

Due to the tiny battery capacity and lengthy charge time, I have given it a poor rating in the “Replace if lost or damaged” category. I typically use two to three OXVA Xlims, therefore I would need 4-5 of them if I switched to the Igee! However, I can suggest this to anyone who wants to switch from disposable vapes or simply wants a beginning kit that they can fill up and take with them. It looks fantastic, tastes excellent, and is quite easy to use. Additionally, obtaining the pods for it shouldn’t be too difficult because it is from Smok. It’s not the best basic pod kit, but heck, I’ve had worse!
