INTRO
I’ll be evaluating the Innokin Sceptre 2-pod vape today. When the first Sceptre was introduced in 2020, people looking for a cheap and useful pod device found it to be highly popular. Since I haven’t tried the original, I can’t directly compare the two in this review, but Innokin is a reputable brand with a strong reputation in the vaping community.
The Innokin Sceptre 2 feels like a high-end product. It contains a 1400mAh battery, 2 power setting options, and is lightweight and small in size. Additionally, it incorporates a side airflow control lever that makes it simple to change the draw without removing the pod. The magnetic pod fits the device firmly and has a respectable 3ml capacity. Dual activation gives you more alternatives for how to use your vaporizer by letting you choose between auto-draw and button activation. The coils use the renowned Z-coils from Innokin and are push-to-fit.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY
I was genuinely delighted by the Innokin Sceptre 2’s elegant and sleek appearance at first sight. For this review, I was given the grey version, and the two-tone front panel is simply amazing. Contrasting with the bottom half of the gadget, which is a solid colour, the top portion of the front panel has diagonal striped lines. Except for the left side, where there is a USB connector, and the top right side, where the airflow control slider fits into the device for convenience of use, the gadget’s back, sides, and bottom are all solid silver in colour.
On the front panel’s bottom, the name Sceptre 2 is inscribed, and on the opposite side’s bottom, Innokin. A minimal amount of discreet branding and logos are used overall, which is quite aesthetically pleasing. The Innokin Sceptre 2 does weigh more than comparable pod devices, perhaps as a result of the 1400mAh battery and the sturdy zinc alloy body construction. However, I believe it contributes to the device’s quality appearance and feels.
POD AND COILS
Only the mouthpiece protrudes from the Innokin Sceptre 2 pod, which has a black colour and sits flush inside the device. Due to this, it is impossible to check the amount of leftover e-liquid without first taking the pod out of the device. In comparison to most of the competitors, it has a reasonable 3ml capacity for e-liquid (which holds 2ml). The fill port uses a rubber plug fill method and is large enough to fit a typical 30ml e-juice bottle tip. A top filing pod is what I myself prefer, although this is a personal preference. The rubber plug-fill system continues to function properly as is. To find the side fill port, you must completely remove the pod from the apparatus. The Sceptre 2 logo is on the front of the pod, while the Innokin logo is on the rear.
The kit’s interchangeable coils are the renowned Innokin S-Coils. These come in packages of five and come in coil sizes of 0.5 RDL, 0.6 MTL, 0.65 MTL, and 1.2 MTL. With the exception of the 0.25 coil, all previous Innokin S-Coils are compatible with the Sceptre 2. The S-Coil 0.5 (range 18-20W) and S-Coil 0.6 (range 6-8W) are the two coils that come with the kit (range 12-13.5W). The coil is divided into two parts. The coil adapter is the broader, stumpier piece of brass, while the actual coil is the silver component bearing the Innokin brand, the suggested wattage range, and the coil material type. Keep the brass component portion when replacing the coil since you need it to screw on the new coil. There is no need to line up any random flat surfaces or edges because the coils just press into the tank’s bottom. Simply insert the brass adapter into the bottom of the pod after screwing it onto the coil.
The side airflow control slider, which is a fantastic feature that is found on the side of the pod, is really simple to use. Depending on your preferred method of vaping, it easily slides up or down for MTL or RDL, all without removing the pod from the device. The slider is flat, thus I had no problems with it catching when I put it in and took it out of my pockets. It is solid but slides smoothly. The pod can only be put into the device one way due to the side airflow control slider. Compared to other pods, I enjoy that the airflow slider can be set to a very tight MTL draw that more closely mimics the pull from a cigarette. However, not all MTL devices will do this, despite their claims to be MTL. I think having the airflow control on the side is a significant improvement over the original Sceptre’s location at the coil’s base. I also prefer it to the front or back airflow control for pods.
BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING
The Sceptre 2 Pod mod has the same huge 1400mAh internal battery as the original, but it is housed in a more compact and elegant gadget. A battery life indication using colour to display how much power is left is the LED light to the right of the power button:
- Green: 100-30%
- Yellow: 30-10%
- Red: 10% and under
On a full charge, it easily lasted me many days (three or four), so depending on your coil, wattage, and usage patterns, you can anticipate the same or even longer battery life. I was able to fill the pod up three or four times before realising the red LED light was on and I needed to recharge. As the battery life was dwindling, I didn’t also observe any appreciable changes in the potency or quality of the smoke.
The charging process from red to green takes about two hours. It does have pass-through charging, so you may vape while it’s plugged in, though I don’t advise it for safety reasons. Due to the chip’s higher heat production as a result of charging and vaping at the same time, this may result in more wear and tear and future issues for the device.
PERFORMANCE
This is a great option for a simple-to-use kit if you’re searching for an MTL vape. It’s also perfect if you want something smart, durable, and covert. Between the blue and purple power levels, the 0.5 coils will fire at 18W or 20W, respectively. Between the blue and purple power levels, the 0.6 coils will fire at 11.5W or 16.5W, respectively.
The best e-juices to use with the 0.5 coil range in nicotine level from 3mg to 20mg. This coil lasted for 20 ml of e-juice before needing to be replaced. I used 3mg of nicotine salts. The 0.6 coil works best with e-liquids that have a nicotine content of 3 mg to 20 mg. I used a 6mg normal nicotine e-juice for this coil, and it lasted around 25ml longer than the other coil before needing to be replaced.
In order to save battery life, I typically preferred utilising the “Normal” power wattage level (blue LED), however, the “Turbo” mode (pink LED) did improve flavour, which is encouraging to observe. The Innokin Sceptre 2 defies my observation that many devices with preset wattage settings don’t really make much of a difference. The Innokin Sceptre 2 is an excellent starting point for someone who is attempting to quit smoking cigarettes and transfer over and start their journey into vaping since the side airflow control allows you to truly reproduce the experience of a tight draw from a cigarette.

SUMMARY
The Innokin Sceptre 2 kit seamlessly blends simplicity and sophistication in an appealing form. It is svelte and small. Its strong 1400mah internal battery can support days’ worth of vaping. With the side airflow control slider, you can quickly and simply alter the draw when vaping MTL or RDL without having to take out the pod. The two power setting options are very useful because they provide you with the option of getting superior flavour or saving battery. You may also choose how many different coil options are available, giving you a wide range of options for your vape.
Although I think top-fill systems are much simpler to operate, the rubber plug-fill port is fine. It is a subjective drawback, but it is still a drawback, to have to remove the complete pod in order to check your remaining e-liquid level. A newbie will benefit greatly from the Innokin Sceptre 2 kit as a starter kit. The adjustable airflow can be reduced to a very tight MTL draw, which nearly resembles the sensation of drawing on a cigarette. It is compact, discreet, and has amazing flavour. Whether you’re a beginner trying to get into vaping or an experienced vaper looking for something different, I would gladly recommend this kit to you.
