DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

The 7-colour Cobra Prism version that I received of this is, in my opinion, the loveliest colour in the entire line. If anyone is wondering who on earth is still purchasing Rainbow colour equipment in 2023, I humbly admit that it is me! The packaging is excellent, and you can even peel off protective covers from the gadget. A QR code is on the front cover for verification. I would hold onto this because it appears to have warranty implications.

As you can see, the brief instruction manual’s 13 pages are all in one language, and it pretty well covers everything you need to know. I do think the text is extremely little, and the Smok website does not offer a copy of this, which is unfortunate for individuals who require larger writing. These are the most thorough instructions I’ve seen in a while, covering safety as well as cleaning and upkeep!

 

NOVO 2X PODS

This gadget is also compatible with older, side-filling SMOK Novo 2 and Novo pods in addition to NOVO 2X pods. BATTERY

The Novo 2’s battery may be its most striking feature. It’s the same size as the original Novo, as I already indicated, but for some reason, the battery is over two times as big. That is a remarkable industrial achievement. I vaped continuously and heavily for two and a half days with the 800mAh battery. That’s excellent for such a tiny vape. The battery life on this one is undoubtedly a plus. A scarcely perceptible LED light is present on the device’s front. It’s only a tiny speck. The Novo 2 vapes and illuminates to show the battery charge level. The colours used are:

• Green: 70% and above
• Orange/Yellow: 70 to 30%
• Red: Under 30%

The pull becomes substantially weaker when the battery life is less than 30%. To avoid getting weak and disappointing drawings, I would advise charging your Novo 2 when it is at the red level.

SUMMARY

The NOVO 2X stands out as a wonderful beginner package and a simple gadget to switch from disposables even though it won’t win any invention prizes. Although the gadget is fairly simple and might not appeal to more seasoned users, it is still worth considering as a backup device for such people because the vape quality is unquestionable.

The vape quality is excellent, and the new pods make it worthwhile, but Smok used to come up with interesting and original designs, so for me, it simply didn’t float my boat. I also thought that Smok didn’t really try to push any flair onto this design. Although the quality of vapes has increased beyond all recognition, it seems like fashion is moving backwards at the moment.
