DESIGN & STYLE

By the standards of modern vape devices, the Eleaf iJust D20 may appear a little outdated and basic. However, there is something so reassuring and proper about using a vape pen in the conventional method. The iJust’s hybrid vape pen/pod design aims to blur the lines between old and new. With a 20mm diameter and a long, thin 136mm tube design, it has a very similar shape to a standard vape pen.

The only buttons on the gadget are the fire button on one side and the USB-C charging port on the back. The base’s circular rubber pad with grooves adds a lovely finishing touch to the design. This offers protection when setting the device down and extends slightly from the mod. The cartridge or tank that the iJust D20 is paired with has a pod design element. It is essentially a pod that uses GTL push-fit coils from Eleaf.

 

IJUST D20 CARTRIDGE/POD

The kit’s included D20 cartridge has a 3ml juice capacity (or 2ml in TPD areas). It slides into place easily and is connected to the device magnetically. The cartridge makes use of GTL push-fit coils from Eleaf. They merely slide into the pod’s base. Some of the coil’s bottom is still visible after being shoved inside the pod. When connected to the device, this is what creates the connection.

There is a top slide-to-fill mechanism on the pod as well. It’s as straightforward as what we’ve seen on other tanks and pods, but it works well. The cartridge has a little droplet sign on one side. PERFORMANCE

The iJust D20 performs admirably and effectively covers an MTL and DTL draw. It has a few small flaws, though, and isn’t the kind of gadget that will blow you away with the quality of its vape. First off, the control for airflow modification is excellent. There is no doubt that you can switch between a tight MTL draw with only one tiny air hole exposed and an open draw with all four enormous air holes uncovered. When using an MTL configuration, the auto-draw function performs excellently. However, direct-to-lung doesn’t really work after you start letting a lot more air through. Therefore, when using DTL vaping, you must rely on the fire button.

Most people will be satisfied by the flavour that the 0.8 and 1.2 coils offer. Though it comes close to competing with the greatest mesh coil pod systems, it falls short. Even so, I didn’t really have any issues and had a good time using the either coil. When changing between them, the power settings do make a difference. I preferred the sweet spot of the medium (blue) power level with the 0.8 coils and a medium MTL draw. This has a really low power usage and provided a warm MTL vape. With these coils, the 1500mAh battery performs admirably in terms of longevity, and you can comfortably vape all day long. The battery may be recharged at a 1.5A charge rate in a respectable manner. Additionally, it has a passthrough so you may use the gadget to vape while it charges.

VERDICT

The Eleaf iJust D20 is a very good modern vape pen. It has a simplistic vape pen design with all the functionality of a modern-day pod system. Push-to-fit replaceable coils, fully adjustable airflow, top fill mechanism, 3 power settings, and a large 1500mAh battery are even a step up from most.

It is an incredibly easy-to-use vape pen that can suit both beginner and experienced vapers. In addition, it has a versatile range delivering both a decent MTL and DTL vape. It is an ideal vape pen for beginners or those wanting to step up from disposable vapes. However, if you are looking for big cloud-chucking abilities, this isn’t really the device for that.
