Around the tank, the liquid level is also readily apparent, so you’ll know when to top off. By turning the ring at the tank’s base, the airflow can be changed from a fully open to a closed air entrance. This tank has a 0.3-ohm and 0.5-ohm resistance and is compatible with EC2 coils. Both are designed with direct lung vaping in mind, although the DL-limited vaping may also be done with the 0.5-ohm resistance. APPEARANCE

The iStick i80 has a nice design, in my opinion. A panel with texture on the kit’s back and sides makes it easy to hold onto. Instead of shiny or gaudy bright colours, the colours that are offered are solid colours. The matte black main body of the kit emphasises the coloured panel even more. The kit’s screen appears straightforward, and the face is where the fire button, power controls, and USB-C charge connector are located. In contrast to all the plastic tanks and pods I’ve been reviewing recently, the new Melo C tank is stylish and made of glass.

 

PERFORMANCE

Two EC coils are included with the iStick i80. The EC coil range has been around for a while and, in my opinion, is one of Eleaf’s better coils ranges. An EC2 0.5ohm (30-100w) and an EC 0.3ohm coil are included in the set (30-50w).

The greatest problem I noticed with this kit is the resistance, so pick your coils wisely. The mod capped the power level at 60w when the EC2 0.5ohm coil was installed, which is intended to be able to operate up to 100w. That is not an issue for me because I vape at 50 watts. But DL vapers who want to use the maximum 80w that this kit can provide would have an issue with this. As a safety measure, I assume the mod based the maximum watts on the resistance. Interestingly, even though the coil’s maximum wattage is 50w, I was able to get 80w when I inserted the 0.3ohm coil.

Apart from the coil problem I discovered, the mod vapes very well. It has a straightforward, programmable display. The menu may be seen by simultaneously pressing the up and fire buttons. By doing so, you can switch what is shown on the screen in addition to your power setting and turn on stealth mode. The coils generate a respectable quantity of cloud and pretty good flavour. The battery readily lasted me the entire day, and the USB-C interface allowed for speedy charging.
