In addition to keeping the portable design of the VINCI Pod, the VINCI Pod Kit Royal Edition makes use of traditional relief sculpture technology and 6061 aluminium alloy for its aeronautical components. The 800mAh built-in battery of the VINCI Pod Kit Royal Edition has an 11–15W power range. You can easily refill it because it has a top-fill visible cartridge with a 2 ml capacity. The VINCI Pod Kit Royal Edition now has improved leak-resistant functionality. Mesh 0.8ohm pod and Mesh 1.2ohm pod are the two pods included in the box. Additionally, the cartridge of the Vinci Q, Drag Nano 2, and Vinci Pod are all compatible with the VINCI Pod Kit Royal Edition.

DESIGN AND STYLE

The Voopoo Vinci Royal Edition initially gives the impression of being identical to the earlier Vinci pod kit. It’s a very different story when you get near and hold it in your hand, though. Thanks to the materials chosen, the Vinci Royal has a touch of elegance and a premium feel. The aircraft grade 6061 aluminium and zinc alloy used in its construction not only gives it a substantial feel (58.5g) but also ensures that it is incredibly durable.

The white model we have in for review has a great finish that is smooth with a somewhat matte touch. On one side, there is a nice raised leaf pattern that looks great and adds some grip. I’m not sure how any of these relate to the Royal family. Voopoo has some blathering on the subject of “Artisan designs.” Regardless, I’m confident that the others will be constructed from the same high-quality components.

 

PERFORMANCE

In actuality, the Voopoo Vinci Royal Edition pod kit outperforms the original Vinci pod kit by a wide margin. However, as the only real difference between them is the materials, this has nothing to do with the device itself. The new pods are what have caused the small performance improvement. In comparison to the standard Vinci pods, the new 0.8 and 1.2 ml pods appear to give a somewhat smoother pull and unquestionably more distinct flavour.

Voopoo makes no indication of whether the coils or the substance have been modified. However, after comparing them, I believe the new pods function better. They appear to last as long as regular pods but are much simpler to refill because of the innovative top-fill technique. It’s also important to note that during my time utilising the pods on the Vinci Royal Edition, I never once experienced any leaking. Therefore, keep an eye out for these new pods if you already own a Vinci pod device because they will undoubtedly enhance your vaping experience.

 

BATTERY

The 800mAh internal battery in the Vinci Pod Royal Edition is identical to that in the basic Vinci pod kit. The same GENE AI chipset is also utilised. But it’s okay because it’s a great chipset that produces 11 to 15 watts of power (depending on the resistance of the pod attached). Due to its excellent Auto-Draw switch, it also fires incredibly quickly.

Every standard safety feature is present in the Vinci Royal Edition, including protection against overheating, output overcurrent, low battery, over-discharge, overheating at high temperatures, overcharging, and atomizer short circuits. Additionally, it has a USB Type C connector with a 1A charging rate. Your battery state will be indicated by the following LED indicator lights on the front:

• Green = 60-100%
• Blue = 60-20%
• Red = Less than 20%

 

PODS

Two 2ml-capacity pods for the Vinci Royal are included in the kit. The 0.8 coils in one of the pods and the 1.2 coils in the other. The coils are integrated within the pods, just like in the normal Vinci pod kit, therefore you must replace the entire pod. However, they have been improved over the original pods. There is a fresh fill approach. Currently, they use a top-fill mechanism rather than the side-filing rubber plug.

Simply snap the mouthpiece off to reveal the fill hole and rubber plug. It’s just like how the Caliburns are filled, plus its much cleaner and simpler to use than a side-fill port. While the pod is still inside the machine, you can fill it. To avoid any extra liquid leaking through, it might still be advisable to remove it. The same duck-billed shape, which isn’t the best but appears to have become the standard with these style pods, is used for the mouthpieces on the pods.

VERDICT

One of the more upscale pod systems on the market is probably the Voopoo Vinci Royal Edition pod kit. It is beautifully constructed and has a wonderful hand feel. Additionally, it operates superbly as a result of the updated pods (although the standard Vinci is no slouch). However, the pods are also backward compatible with the original Vinci, so if you have that one, simply keep an eye out for these new pods. The Royal Edition is a great pod kit for individuals who don’t already own an original Vinci pod kit and want something a little more upscale.
