INTRO
The Minican 2 is a new pod vape made by the long-time vaping manufacturer, Aspire. It’s small, light, and overall a cute-looking device. It has a 400mAH rechargeable battery and uses replaceable pods with a 3ml capacity. The Minican 2 is powered by Aspire’s “ASP Chipset” which they state is the safest Aspire chipset to date.
Aspire is a vaping company that is known for its pod devices, with the most popular being their ‘Breeze’ pod vapes. This includes the original Aspire Breeze, Aspire Breeze 2, and Aspire Breeze NXT. But Aspire also produced a number of popular tanks, mods, and starter kits. The fact is that they have been in the vape game since the get-go and have been consistently producing genuinely great products.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY
The Minican 2 immediately springs to me when I think of the word “cute.” It is a little device that is only 28g in weight and measures 83.1mm tall, 28.1mm wide, and 15.6mm deep. Very small and light in weight. I don’t think it’s cute primarily because of its size, though. more so the appearance. A translucent plastic shell surrounds the colour, giving the device a sort of 3D appearance. The “Minican 2” that is printed on the front of the device makes this 3D effect stand out the most.
An LED indicator is located at the front bottom of the vaporizer. Every time you draw, a white LED illuminates. The LED only comes in one colour. The LED will blink 10 times to alert you when the battery needs to be recharged when it is low. The Minican 2 has two ventilation holes, one on each side. There is no way to change the airflow. In addition, there is no wattage adjustment. The Minican 2 operates in bypass output mode, which means that the pull becomes weaker as the battery drains. Despite being a specific device, the Minican 2 has excellent build quality and a pleasing, bright design.
PERFORMANCE
The Minican 2 performs at a level that is well above normal for such a simple device. I was prepared for poor performance and flavour because of how simple and affordable (budget) a device is before using it. Surprisingly, what I got had excellent flavour and thick pulls that were above average. The 1.0 pod draw is an MTL that is medium-loose. Because it isn’t overly loose or airy, MTL is still a lot of fun to vape. Those hoping for a close MTL draw will be let down. The air apertures on the side can be blocked with your fingers to tighten the draw, however, this method isn’t particularly practical.
This 1.0 pod’s coil wicks wonderfully as well. I used a 50/50 nicotine salt and 65VG e-juice with no issues at all. The Minican 2 pod did not leak or exhibit any wicking problems. This pod is perfectly capable of taking subsequent drawings repeatedly. The auto-draw sensitivity is also excellent. In contrast to the Aspire Flexus Q, which I had some trouble with, the Minican 2’s draw still activates easily despite its moderate sensitivity. It is suitable for draw activation and requires just the appropriate amount of effort.
BATTERY
The Minican 2 features a 400mAh battery, and the bottom of the device contains a Type-C charging connector for recharging it. 400mAh may not seem like much (and by today’s standards, it isn’t), but with this gadget, the bypass mode output makes it go remarkably far. The draw strength of the Minican 2 is based on the battery charge, so it becomes weaker as the battery drains. From completely charged to almost dead, I did not detect a significant difference in the draw, though. Even when it is almost dead, the draw is still respectably powerful and doesn’t seem weak at all.
The battery life would be terrible if this was a device with a consistent wattage output. However, the Minican 2 doesn’t appear to require consistent output power as it continues to provide a good draw down until the battery is completely charged. With a 400mAh battery, you can anticipate vaping more than 2 pods of e-liquid on a single charge, which is excellent. Additionally, it charges rather quickly—only 40 minutes are needed to reach full capacity.

CONCLUSION
The Aspire Minican 2 is excellent for such a low-cost gadget. It performs just as well as other cheaper pod vapes and is far superior to other vapes at this price range. The device only comes with one pod, which is my main gripe, so be sure to buy a pack of pods along with the gadget.
The Minican’s lack of adaptability is another drawback in my opinion. There is no power or airflow adjustment, so you get what it offers. For a tighter MTL draw, you could use two tiny pieces of tape to block the airflow holes, but if that’s why you’re buying the Minican 2, you might as well pick a different pod vape that has a tighter draw instead. The flavour and performance are amazing for the money. I can suggest purchasing the Aspire Minican 2 if you’re searching for a new pod vape that won’t set you back a lot of money.
