INTRO
The VAPORESSO GEN AIR 40 is the brand’s most recent pod system. With a variety of outstanding products, VAPORESSO has made a name for itself as one of the greatest vape makers in the business. There are too many excellent vape mods to mention them all, but some of my favourites have been the GEN and LUXE series. The GEN AIR is a portable pod system that is designed to be extremely light and portable. Its internal battery is rated at 1800 mAh, and the excellent 4.5 mL pods that are included are included. The gadget is compatible with the majority of the coils of the GTX series, a line that is tested and true and is widely accessible, and the coils are removable.

BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN
The GEN AIR 40 is a compact, box-shaped AIO/pod that is smaller than a single battery kit but larger than more simple pods like a Caliburn. For the power it has, it’s a perfect middle size. Additionally, it is the “lightest 40W pod,” according to VAPORESSO, and it just weighs 67 grammes (which is probably true.) In addition, it feels quite sturdy and not at all cheap in the hand. Even though it is lightweight, you can tell it is well-built.
The product comes in seven different hues. Twilight Gold is a wonderful blend of gold on top that fades into purple at the bottom. I received it for evaluation. The other four are single-coloured and less garish, although the sakura pink and aurora green also have fading colour schemes. Unlike many smartphones on the market where the distinction between the colours comes from a panel, just the front and the pods are totally black while the rest of the gadget is fully coloured, making each version stand out.
The device’s front is equipped with two buttons: a fire button at the top and a power adjustment button at the bottom. Four LED lights that display the battery and power level are located between the two buttons. Overall, the pod system is quite straightforward and typical, yet it is well-made, light, and executed.
PERFORMANCE
I’ve used the solid GTX brand of coils quite a bit, and this gadget accepts them. However, it’s important to keep in mind that not all GTX coils are compatible with every gadget, and the GEN AIR 40 is no exception. Personally, I don’t like that, and I wish each coil line was entirely compatible with the devices that use them, but at least their website does a fantastic job of letting you know which coils are compatible with which products.
Currently, the GEN AIR 40 is compatible with five GTX coils. A 0.8-ohm mesh coil rated for 12–16 watts and a 0.4–ohm mesh coil rated for 26–32 watts are the two mesh coils that are part of the kit. The remaining three can be purchased separately. I began my testing with the 0.8-ohm coil and filled it with 50/50 20–24 mg nicotine salt juices. The flavour was excellent for a pod system and similar to the best pods on the market. I preferred it on low power (one LED). About 30 mL of juice may be used on it, which is excellent for coil life. In coils like this, I usually aim for 10 to 15 mL.
BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING
Your vaping habits will determine the battery life of this device, however, I can say that using the 0.8-ohm coil on low appeared to make it last a pretty long time and should easily be an all-day vape for most. The internal battery capacity is advertised as 1800 mAh, the charge rate is listed as 2A, and because the Type-C connection is at the bottom of the mod, it must be placed flat while charging. Although it’s not a significant concern, I prefer charging devices that can stand up.
I put their given specifications to the test, and I was able to charge at a maximum of 1.94A, which is a wonderful rating. 53 minutes is the charge time, making it a rather quick charge for a pod system. The majority of pods work like this charge up in one hour to 90 minutes. I think it’s a little overblown considering the battery size, which is just over 1500 mAh. To be fair, most devices are rated approximately 20% higher than you actually receive, so it’s a reasonable grade overall. A 20% overrate is usual for most internal battery devices even though the battery itself may be advertised at 1800 mAh from the manufacturer and actually be a little bit lower. In addition, the soft cell cut-off won’t enable a full drain. Passthrough vaping is also supported, and charging is paused during vaping.
I want to give them major props for the way they implemented this because the LED functions as a battery metre. Because battery metres on products like this are frequently in three steps and are awkwardly spaced, several reviewers have complained about them. They should have four steps that are evenly spaced out, and I’ve probably noted it myself in a dozen or so reviews. VAPORESSO listened and acted accordingly.
One LED: 0-25%
Two LEDs: 25-50%
Three LEDs: 50-75%
Four LEDs: 75-100%
Vaporesso did a fantastic job, and I truly like it when businesses take customer complaints seriously and turn them into advantages for the following product.

SUMMARY
In the end, VAPORESSO did a fantastic job with this product. You’ll be delighted with it if you’re searching for a low-wattage device that’s compact, lightweight, and should last the majority of people all day when used for MTL vaping. The coils fall into a wattage range that I feel to be too high for high nicotine but too low for low nicotine, which is the only reason I don’t like it for DL. However, it’s a good vape if you enjoy DL at 30 watts or less. However, I find that the 0.8-ohm coil truly shines in low wattages.
