INTRO

The Argus P1 is a standard pod system that is ideal for beginners. There are no buttons, no on or off switches, and no settings other than the airflow adjustment. When you want to vape, simply inhale and pocket it. It is simple to fill the pod. The pod itself is magnetic and simply inserts and removes. It’s not cramped in there, but the magnets keep it securely in place with no wiggle. Simply pull the pod out to remove it. No specific techniques are required. Simply push it back in and the magnets will grasp it. As easy and straightforward as it should be.
There is a black rubber stopper on the side that you lift to reveal the fill hole after removing the pod. Additionally written on the plug is the pod resistance. The juice level can be easily seen because the pod is entirely visible and has a very subtle colour. Since I’m always a function-first sort of person and prefer clear pods, I wish all businesses would adopt this policy. Overall, the use is ideal for new vapers trying to give up smoking or for someone who needs a discreet, low-vapour-production device to get through the day.

DESIGN & STYLE

I was immediately smitten with the Voopoo Argus P1’s design since it is such a gorgeous item. The tinted PC plastic, gold accent features, and glossy green body blend together well. Only 74.6mm tall, 46.7mm broad, and 17.4mm deep, the object is. It’s reasonable to assume that this gadget is quite portable and a perfect choice for vaping when on the road. Although I wouldn’t say it is hefty, it does have some weight to it. For the sake of this article, I tested out the green version, and it has performed admirably. The gold lanyard loop and hardware are painted gold, and the paint has exhibited no indications of flaking or peeling.

 

PERFORMANCE

The button-free, draw-activated Voopoo Argus P1 is a fantastic MTL pod vape. Every time I attempted to use the gadget, I had no problems, and the draw activation was faultless. The Gene AI 1.2 chip controls the wattage in place of the Argus P1 in accordance with the resistance of the pod and the force of your puff. This is ideal, in my opinion. You can inhale more forcefully for a stronger draw or more forcefully for a lighter draw.

I discovered that both coils had excellent flavour, although I liked the 0.7 pod’s looser draw better than the 1.2 pod’s. The fact that the Argus pods deliver outstanding flavour for such a long time is one of their best features. I use e-liquids that are on the sweeter side, yet this had no impact at all on coil life.

 

BATTERY & CHARGING

Like the Argus Pod, the Argus P1 has an 800mAh battery built in. The Argus P1 got me around a day and a half on a full charge, while the Argus Pod gave me closer to two days on a full charge. While the LEDs illuminate each time you make a draw, their number merely serves to indicate how strong your draw was (based on how hard you pull during your puff). You must remove or re-insert the pod to view your real battery life, which will activate the LEDs and show you how fully charged your battery is. Your battery life is shown by the following LEDs:

• 4 White LEDs: 76-100%
• 3 White LEDs: 51-75%
• 2 White LEDs: 25-50%
• 1 Red LED: 1-25%

 

 

PODS

One 0.7- and one 1.2-inch pod are included with the Argus P1 right out of the box. The Argus series of pods, which the P1 utilises, are wonderful since you can buy either pod with the coil already attached or pods that let you change the coil yourself. Depending on how the airflow is configured, you may obtain an MTL draw that is either loose or tight using either of the two pods that come with the Argus P1.

It is recommended to utilise nicotine salts up to a 50mg dosage in each pod, which may carry up to 2 ml of e-juice. The e-liquid I used in both pods had great flavour, and the P1 performs right up there with the greatest pod vapes I’ve ever used. The Gene AI 1.2 chip will identify the pod you are using and adjust the wattage range in accordance with that recognition. The wattage range for the 0.7 and 1.2 pods is 5–18 W and 5–12 W, respectively. As I said earlier, the wattage for your pull will increase the harder you huff.

VERDICT

Overall, VOOPOO created a fantastic product here that appears to be the popular Mi-spiritual Pod’s successor and a direct rival to UWELL’s KOKO range. Other than the lack of passthrough, I don’t really have any problems regarding the gadget. It is straightforward, attractive, well-made, and robust. Battery life is adequate for a smartphone like this, however, the battery is overstated. In light of that, it fulfils all the requirements in my book.
